Animation Types

Animation is the art of creating a moving video using images (frames) that change a fast enough speed for the brain to think it is a constant video.

Movement

To create a moving image you would have to create images (these will be the frames) and put them in an order which when played at a high speed will make the images look like they are moving.

Masking 

A Mask Layer enables you hide part of your layer so that you can see through to the layer below. It a bit like poking a hole through a piece of paper to revel the desk below.

Morphing

Morphing is where one image can be gradually turned in to another most advanced animation programs using masking.
